Multi-purpose gas/vapor cartridges can be used for respiratory protection. Filter materials include certain organic vapors, chlorine, hydrogen chloride, sulfur dioxide, chlorine dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, methylamine, formaldehyde or hydrogen fluoride, as well as non-oily and oily particulate matter. If it is a half mask, the concentration can reach 10 times the allowable exposure limit (PEL), and if it is a full face, it can reach 50 times the allowable exposure limit (PEL). This cartridge cannot be used in an "immediately threatening life or health" (IDLH) environment. Recommended applications include petrochemical and chemical industries. Because this filter cartridge is suitable for many different applications, it reduces the inventory requirements and training requirements of safety equipment.
